This casino's a pretty high-class place, so he's dressed nicer than usual, and a touch of magic smooths away scars and signs of sleepless nights handily.

Magic would've been too easy for some of them. Even young, I liked the challenge of relying only on my wits, language, and some sleight of hand.

Well, I read a lot, I've spent a lot of time picking up new skills for the hell of it... I do some gardening. [A pause.] What about you?

Honestly, I don't really have much time for anything other than work and casinos. I used to enjoy other types of games, though. Board games and even video games.

Fighting games, mostly since they were easy to understand and I could set them down and not worry about forgetting a story.

[The rest of the evening is one of the best Aventurine's had in a long, long time. Wing is remarkably easy to talk to and he doesn't feel like he needs to put on too many masks. Just the sociable one, which is basically his default at this point and is only half a mask.

Eventually, though, the night must come to an end.]
