[Aventurine watches as the movers bring his new statue into his garden. He recently bought a new house with a garden and it seemed a shame to keep it empty like it was. He'll figure out if he wants a statue or not later, but this one was decently priced for the quality and he is never going to say no to art of a pretty man where he can see it.

As the statue is placed down, Aventurine notices an odd device stuck on the back.]

Take that off, what the hell.

[It takes him a bit to speak, just because he's just so awed.]

I'm human.

[Aventurine pulls him into a tight hug.]

You're human!

[Oh.

Oh, hugs feel even better than he could have even imagined. He returns it, amazed that he doesn't have to worry about hurting Aventurine by doing so.]

I-- I don't know how this happened, but...

[He's not sure it matters.]

Who cares? You're human! You can touch things and try food and drink and take baths!

[Quietly, still awed:] I can hug you without hurting you, I can actually feel how warm your hands are when I hold them...

[Nope, a tighter hug.]

You could have still hugged me, I wouldn't have cared.

I would have, though. The last thing I wanted was to injure you.

[Even from the start.]

I still would have been fine.

[He pulls back just a little to smile at Veritas.]

But now it's not a worry.

[He smiles, tearing up a little. He lifts his hands, cupping both of Aventurine's cheeks.]

Well, how do I feel?

Warm... It's nice.

[He smiles.]

... Should... should we go sit down?

[takesitall]

We should. I'll cook breakfast, if you want?

Yes, please!

[He's so excited.]

Any flavors you want to try in particular, or do I get to pick?

[One more hug and then down to the kitchen!]

[He takes Aventurine's hand as they go down to the kitchen, only reluctantly letting go when they get there.]

[Aventurine laughs a little and heads into the kitchen.]

I'm thinking omelettes, bacon, and pancakes? A nice spread of flavors and textures.

[And he'll sit down to watch and wait.]

[As he hooks, Aventurine also makes a pot of coffee and some tea. He brings a small cup of each to Veritas so he can try one and figure out which he likes best.]

We'll need to go buy you clothes, later.

[He seems a little more inclined towards the tea, but he does enjoy both.]

We will... you'll have to help me figure out what looks good on me.

[He chuckles a little, resting his chin on one hand.]
