[Lyney, as a rule, does not like going to people outside of the Family for help. He just doesn't know that he can trust them, and trust is tantamount for him.

But Shio was Family, once, before he managed to leave and maybe that's what Lyney needs right now. At least, he knows Shio won't report him to the Family for coming back injured.

He knocks on the employee entrance of Gen's, pressing his jacket to the wound on his arm.]

[After Lyney had fallen asleep in his lap, Shio carried him off to one of one of the manor's bedrooms so the two of them could actually sleep in a bed.

(He also texted Lynette to let her know where her brother was.)

He stirs a little the next morning, and upon seeing Lyney in his arms still... he settles back down, smiling.]

[(Lynette's only response was a thumbs up.)

Lyney stretches a little, cuddling back against whatever warmth is at his back.

The warmth is breathing.

Oh no.

Lyney freezes. He can tell he's still dressed, so nothing happened, but who's in bed with him?]

[Ah. When he feels Lyney freeze up, Shio tugs him closer.]

It's just me, Lyney...

[Oh no.]

Sh-shio?

[reignitions]

Yeah. Good morning.

[felyney]

Good morning. [. . .] Is this still Giorno's?

[reignitions]

Yeah. You fell asleep and I brought you here so we could both sleep. Lynette knows you're here, I texted her.

[felyney]

Oh. Good.

[. . .]

Did we sleep like this the whole night?

[reignitions]

We did, yes.

[As he pulls Lyney just a bit closer.]

[felyney]

...you wanted to?

[He finally rolls over, oddly shy.]

Yes, I wanted to. I actually pulled you close like this before I fell asleep.

[felyney]

You...?

[Screw it. Lyney clumsily surges up to press a kiss to Shio's lips, because what does he have to lose?]

[reignitions]

[Shio smiles into the kiss, tilting his head just a bit so he can properly return it.]

[felyney]

[Oh. Oh god. Lyney scrambles a bit, almost like he wants to roll over and either pin or be pinned, but he manages to stop himself. He just can't believe this.]

[reignitions]

[While Lyney scrambles a bit, Shio does roll over-- but mostly so he can sit up and Lyney can sit in his lap, only breaking the kiss when he's managed to do so.]

Shio?

[Is this actually happening?]

[reignitions]

Yeah?

[He reaches up to cup one of Lyney's cheeks.]

[felyney]

You like me?

[Obviously.]

[reignitions]

[He chuckles.] I thought that was kind of obvious by this point.

[felyney]

Oh, shush.

[Another small, quick kiss.]

I didn't think it was mutual! Not after so long.

[reignitions]

Oh, it's mutual. It just felt... unfeasible, for a while.

[With Shio having left the Family and Lyney having still been there at the time.]

[felyney]

If I'd left when I wanted to, it wouldn't have been. That's...mm.

["That's why I wanted to leave with you."]

[reignitions]

... Is that why you wanted to leave when I did?

[He takes Lyney's hand with his free one, intertwining their fingers.]

[felyney]

...it is. [He squeezes Shio's hand.] It just wasn't going to be the same with you gone, and I realized that.

[Another kiss.]
