But Shio was Family, once, before he managed to leave and maybe that's what Lyney needs right now. At least, he knows Shio won't report him to the Family for coming back injured.

He knocks on the employee entrance of Gen's, pressing his jacket to the wound on his arm.]

[Screw it. Lyney clumsily surges up to press a kiss to Shio's lips, because what does he have to lose?]

[Shio smiles into the kiss, tilting his head just a bit so he can properly return it.]

[Oh. Oh god. Lyney scrambles a bit, almost like he wants to roll over and either pin or be pinned, but he manages to stop himself. He just can't believe this.]

[While Lyney scrambles a bit, Shio does roll over-- but mostly so he can sit up and Lyney can sit in his lap, only breaking the kiss when he's managed to do so.]

[He reaches up to cup one of Lyney's cheeks.]

[He chuckles.] I thought that was kind of obvious by this point.

[Another small, quick kiss.]

I didn't think it was mutual! Not after so long.

Oh, it's mutual. It just felt... unfeasible, for a while.

[With Shio having left the Family and Lyney having still been there at the time.]

If I'd left when I wanted to, it wouldn't have been. That's...mm.

[He takes Lyney's hand with his free one, intertwining their fingers.]
