[Once again, Aventurine--Kakavasha, but in public he goes by Aventurine to keep his allure--has been dolled up and brought out to be shown off and fawned over at one of his aunt's galas. He and his sister are lucky, their aunt was able to locate them and get them out of a bad situation with the death of their parents, but...well. Parisa knows damn well that her brother is just being used as a status grab, what with his general beauty and intelligence and general good luck. But they can't do anything about it. They haven't got the money to get away from their aunt.

So Aventurine is dolled up and brought out to the gala, sitting more or less by himself in the garden. Like a statue.]

[He starts playing with Kakavasha's hair a little, smile fond.]

[After they rest (and enjoy a snack and some wine), the two make their way to the bathroom.]

Do you like your baths hot or cold, Veritas?

I prefer them hot. What about you?

As hot as possible, unless it's summer.

[That sounds not fun.]

[Kakavasha gathers up the soaps and stuff they both like, towels included, before he starts to strip.

Why does he feel shy about it all of a sudden?]

[Veritas glances over at Kakavasha after a few moments, then pauses.

Kakavasha really is pretty, he's realizing...

(He's trying not to stare, really.)]

[Kakavasha has not noticed if he is.]

...hmm. Will you apply lotion on my back, Veritas?

[The question startles Veritas out of his thoughts.]

Oh, ah-- Yes, I will.

[He smiles over his shoulder at Veritas.]

Is it ready?

[That smile makes his heart skip a beat...]

[He's going to start stripping in the meantime anyway.]

[....yeah, he's ogling. Sorry, Veritas is so handsome.]

You first, then me? I'm smaller after all.

[He flushes a little when he realizes Kakavasha's ogling, but... he doesn't mind it.]

[And... there, it's done.

He'll ease himself into the bath first, then reach out so he can help Kakavasha in after him.]

[In Kakavasha goes, sighing as he sinks into the water (and Veritas's arms)]

[Veritas flushes a bit as Kakavasha sinks into the water. And his arms.]

Mm, I think both of us did after today.

Mhm. A hot bath, a bottle of wine, and no one but each other. Heaven, honestly.

[Hesitantly, he wraps his arms around Kakavasha a little tighter.]

Kakavasha smiles and leans against Veritas a little more.]

Perfect.

[This close, there's no way Kakavasha can't feel Veritas's heartbeat quicken.]

... Definitely perfect.

Kakavasha debates for a moment before shifting and gently, shyly, kissing Veritas's cheek]

[Veritas's breath hitches a little at the kiss, and he smiles shyly. After a moment or two, he returns the kiss, just as gently.]
