Oh, doctor~

[Aventurine enters Ratio's apartment with a cheerful little whistle, looking around for the doctor. They had plans for dinner tonight, just to relax after the week, and the door was unlocked but there is not Ratio.]

Huh, wonder where--oh, hello little one.

[Kitty! Aventurine loves cats, he has three of them himself, so for Ratio not to tell him about this one...

He crouches down to let the cat sniff at him.]

You must be a shy little baby...

[And sniff he does! He bunts his head against Aventurine's hand, trying to seem a little hesitant.]

Oh, sweetheart...

[He gently starts to scritch under the chin.]

Such a little sweetie.

[ignoranceisblight]

[He tilts his head up to allow the scritches, purring a bit.

As tempting as it is to stay like this, though, he eventually pulls back to dart off upstairs. He can't keep Aventurine waiting long, they did have dinner plans.

It doesn't take him long to come back downstairs, as a human this time.]

Gambler. Apologies for the wait.

[By the time Ratio appears, Aventurine is standing and looking perfectly normal.]

Not a problem~ You didn't tell me about your cat.

He's rather recent-- a stray that adopted me, so to speak.

[As he heads towards the kitchen.]

Ah, the cat distribution system at work, I see. I'll probably end up with another two because of that--looks like a brother and sister pair, outside my place.

I'd love to see photos if you happen to get any.

[He'll get the tirokafteri and bread out, just so Aventurine can have something to tide him over until dinner's ready.]

I already have several.

[He'll pull his phone out and dig up the photos while he snacks on the bread. The photos are of a cute little tuxedo pair.]

[Ratio smiles softly at the photos, coming over to look at the photos.]

Adorable.

[He can't linger too long though, he does have dinner to make.]

Giouvetsi alright for tonight's dinner?

Oooh, yes.

[Dinner is excellent, as is the wine and the bitching Aventurine gets to get out of his system about his coworkers. He hates most of them so much.

A few days later, Aventurine is out and about and just enjoying a day off in the fresh air. He has no plans, no places to be except the pet store to get more cat food, and no obligations. He's just taking a nice walk.]

[And today is a day out for "Chertan", which means... a lot of having to dodge people after the key.

... It is a little fun making those people embarrass themselves, though.

But at the same time it is rather tiring-- ah, there's Aventurine. Maybe this'll keep people away for a while. He scampers over, announcing his presence with a meow.]

[!! Kitty, where is--]

Oh, Chertan! Did you escape from the doctor again?

[He bends down to offer a hand to sniff.]

[Another meow, before he sniffs at Aventurine's hand, then pushes his head into that hand.]

[Aven picks Chertan up to cuddle.]

Alright, alright. Silly kitty...

[ignoranceisblight]

[He purrs as he's picked up, making himself comfortable in Aventurine's arms. This is perfect.]

What is Ratio feeding you, to get your fur so soft? Or do you play in his conditioner?

[Pffff-- He just rubs his head against Aventurine's shoulder. Aventurine, please.]

[takesitall]

I'm just saying!

[He is talking to this cat like it's a person.]

Do you need to go home, or do you want to come home with me until Ratio calls asking about you?

[ignoranceisblight]

[A noncommittal mew. He'll find his way home at some point!]

[takesitall]

Then home it is for you, sir. Honestly, you'd think Ratio would keep you inside with that key of yours!

[That Aventurine does not even touch accidentally.]

[Another meow!

But he is quite comfortable where he is, and the neighborhood's still a considerable walk away, so.]

How did you even get this far away? Are you that much of a little adventurer, when you're not hiding?

[He meows again. A little of that and a little "he was chased out this far".]

Ah, yes, the people harassing you for the key. All the more reason to keep you in the house. Or at least hiding under a bush~
