[Aventurine used to be a favorite of the International Private Trade Company (IPC for short). He was young, clever, and very charming and therefore made them so much money in trade agreements.

So when he set fire to their head office and ran off with his sister and the rest of the thought lost Avgin armada, it was a little surprising. That's on them, though, as he never hid his hatred for some of the higher ups in the Company.

Now Kakavasha--or Captain Vasha--heads the Armada with it's flagship the Stoneheart, a notorious pirate who sails the seas and actively hunts the IPC ships. It's a dangerous life, but he loves it.]

Oh, one of the visitors to the island has a monkey situation. I'm guessing she came by and...the situation got out of hand.

[Anyway.]

Do you mind staying with me, then?

Not at all... honestly, that may be for the better.

[takesitall]

[There are a few still-standing bungalows, though one clearly did have monkeys on the roof. Vasha leads Veritas pass that one and to the one he tends to like: it's quiet, private, and near to one of the many bathing springs in the area.]

Here we are. The second bedroom is...past the kitchen, I think?

[There is also a man jumping onto that roof to chase the monkeys off, but Veritas is going to ignore that.

They get into the bungalow Vasha prefers and Veritas relaxes.]

I'll have a look in a while, then.

Take your time~ I am going to head to the springs for a bath, in the mean time. I need to wash the salt off.

... I'll definitely want a bath after yours, I think.

[In the meantime, he needs to take care of his wings.]

Then I'll hurry back so I can show you the way...unless you want to take one together? They're usually communal, this one is just so far out of the way that it's usually just me and maybe Sis.

... I wouldn't mind taking one together.

[takesitall]

Then I'll go and get us some soaps and things from the market! Be right back~

[And off he goes! He is going to end up with more than just soaps and towels, but he can't help himself. He likes Veritas.]

[Veritas will take a bit to take care of his wings a little in the meantime.]

[When Vasha returns, it is with a lot of stuff.]

Veritas! Come tell me if these things are good for your wings!

[A wing-brush, some conditioner, a collection of rubber ducks that were just too cute...]

[Oh, this is more than Veritas expected Vasha to come back with-- his expression brightens at the brush and conditioner.]

Yes, those are perfect-- thank you.

[But then the rubber ducks catch his attention and he picks one up to take a closer look.]

They're just bath toys, but they were so cute.

[They're all pirate themed.]

I figured if nothing else, they're a cute collectable.

[He's so charmed.]

Ah, well-- you... got them for yourself, didn't you? I couldn't...

[They're very cute but if Vasha got those for himself, he absolutely couldn't!]

I didn't, not really. They were just cute and I am nothing if not an impulsive shopper.

Well... perhaps we could split them?

...why not? You pick your favorites~

[He nods, looking the rubber ducks over, considering each one.

(And if he's particularly quick to keep the one that's a little reminiscent of Vasha, well, don't say anything--)

Eventually, he settles on his favorites and gives a satisfied nod.]

Perfect. Are you ready for our bath?

[Vasha leads the way out of the bungalow and down a path largely hidden from view by some very big, green trees and flower bushes. The path, at least, is well kept.]

We'll probably be here for a month or two for repairs and relaxation. Is that a problem?

Not at all. [He hesitates before he adds:] It's not like I have anywhere to be, anyway...
