[That had been... an interesting job.

Somehow, Ciar--Wing to his teammates and clients--hadn't anticipated other people going after one of their marks, but that sure is what happened. Now, Ciar can't personally say he minds. They were tackling it from different angles, and now he can't help but think that it was even more effective.

... And maybe he dragged along the mark a little more for the sake of showing off to that handsome (and clearly adorably smitten) blond.

(He still got the desired results, it was fine.)

Speaking of that aforementioned handsome blond, though, Ciar's on a mission today, to track that man down, wherever in the city he might be. He wanted to see that guy again anyway, and he has a question.]

[Hugo is, at the moment, lounging in a park in Aix en Provence in the south of France, wincing as he adjusts so he's not pressing too much on the bandages under his clothes. His last heist went mostly well, except for a particularly stubborn guard who simply would not stop getting back up and ended up getting Hugo with the pocket knife he kept on him for some reason. He'll heal, but it's going to suck until then, and doubly so with the bruises and everything else hidden.

At least he is recovering in a gorgeous city. That makes it all the better.]

Ciar makes his way over to where the man is lounging, fussing with his hair and clothes just a little as he does, but soon enough, there he is.]

Hello, handsome~ Mind if I join you for a while?

[Hi, Hugo, it's the con artist who was very good at making sure your last target made a fool of themself in public.]

[Oh hello good sir. Hugo recognizes you. He smiles and makes room, hiding the wince.]

Have we met before? I think we have.

We crossed paths the other night.

[As he happily takes a seat.]

Normally, I wouldn't exactly seek someone out I'd crossed paths with the way we had... but I thought this time I'd like to make an exception.

[Hugo laughs a little, but he is blushing just a tiny bit.]

Hugo. [Not Mockingbird, that's just his group.] So, since you've invited me for coffee, why don't I invite you for lunch?

[Hugo stands, again trying to hide a wince as the movement tugs on his bandages and bruises.]

[Ciar notices the wince but doesn't say anything--not aloud, at least. He does shoot Hugo a concerned glance, though. He stands and dusts himself off.]

Lead the way~

[Hugo ignores that look. He's fine, it's fine, there's nothing for a handsome man to worry about.

He heads off, leading Ciar out of the park and down a lovely alley.]

Did I really impress you that much, to come all the way out here to find me?

[Hey now, let him be concerned--

Ciar follows, hands sliding into his pockets as he goes.]

You did. What can I say, I liked your style. And, well, I may have caught a few accusations from colleagues that I had ended up trying to show off for you by the end of the night...

Oh~? Did you now?

[Hugo grins.]

Well, it worked, I can assure you. I couldn't stop watching you and leaving to go tend to my own business was so miserable.

Perhaps with luck, we'll get to cross paths on the job again sometime. Or, better yet, perhaps when one of us isn't.

[He will happily show off for Hugo again--]

[The bistro! Which is run by a friend and conspirator of Hugo's, because as pretty as Ciar is Hugo is not going to just totally blindly trust like that. If something happens, he wants a witness. He doubts something will, but just in case.

Regardless, it really is a lovely little place. There's plenty of sunlight and flowers around, and it's very clean. Hugo lets Ciar decide if they sit inside or outside while he grabs menus.]

[And Ciar is none the wiser, too impressed by the bistro to suspect a damn thing.

(If he did, however, he'd appreciate Hugo being sensible about the whole thing.)

He's opting to sit outside, and he'll be quietly admiring the flowers by the time Hugo's returned.]

[Outside works fine for Hugo. There's sunshades, after all.

He sits down in front of Ciar and hands him a menu.]

Here we are~ There are also vegan options, if that happens to be your preference.

[He quietly thanks Hugo as he takes the menu, humming thoughtfully as he looks it over. He doesn't necessarily need the vegan options, but he makes the mental note of it for recommending this place to one of his teammates.]

What would you recommend?

Depends on what you like. I tend to lean towards the roast beef, but I like beef. Their chicken is very good~
