A weird quirk of the whole incident on Penacony and having his Cornerstone broken and then repaired is that Aventurine is able to turn into his Cornerstone Form a lot more easily and without really pulling on the power at all. He thinks it has something to do with his "divine luck", as always, and that when combined with whatever the hell Acheron's sword actually did it just. Kinda made that a little screwy.

So needless to say, one day when he's bored and on extended vacation (no reason, just his schedule), he decides to transform. And then send a selfie to Veritas. Because bored.]

[Thankfully Veritas isn't doing much of anything when he checks his phone.

He has to take a moment when he sees the photo.]

Is this a hint for me to hurry things along here, dearest?

[It's the biggest room in the house and like this, he's a bit bigger than he usually is. Still short, because it's Aventurine, but he's a little broader and wider.]

He smiles a little when he sees Aventurine, and-- okay, he's going to press a kiss to the faceplate in lieu of actually giving him a kiss.]

I could take the faceplate off, you know. I look...different, underneath it all.

[He knows Aventurine's likely the only one who does this with their Cornerstone.

He knows that there's significance in this form for Aventurine.]

[As he takes one of Aventurine's hands and presses a kiss to the knuckles.]

Then I want to.

[He takes one hand back so he can take the faceplate and helmet off. Underneath is still Aventurine, but with half of his face marbled. It's the shade of his Cornerstone, a pretty teal, with gold cracks running through it. It clearly goes down past his collar.]

He's really beautiful like this...

Veritas lifts his hands to cup Aventurine's cheeks and to pull him into a kiss. No hesitation whatsoever.]

[Aventurine smiles into the kiss, resting his hands on Veritas's waist.]

It's not off-putting? The gold is new.

[A kiss happily returned, hands coming up to tangle in Aventurine's hair.]

[He removes one hand from Aventurine's hair to brush the fingertips lightly across that light blue spade shape on his chest.]
