[Leone Abbacchio never made as a cop. He barely made it through high school, to be honest, as he learned pretty early on that being a cop wasn't what the TV made it out to be. He wouldn't be doing any actual good in the world, not like that, and so he changed career paths much to his parents' dismay. Instead of joining the force, he found a job at a thrift store and a tiny shitty apartment not too far from it.

Nor is the apartment too far from his other job: underground fighter. He's always been a big guy and Candreva made damn sure he could throw a punch and hold his own in a fight before he got killed in a hit-and-run. Maybe this isn't what his old partner wanted, but it's what Abbacchio is doing. The adrenaline is great.

It's also a good place to use his weird little ghost pal. He first started seeing Moody Blues after Candreva's death; at first he thought he was going crazy, but when Moody Blues rewound to show the fucker who had tried to rob the store he figured even if he was going crazy he was going the fun kind of crazy and he could use this. He uses Moody Blues to win his fights, using it to show him his opponent's moves so he can figure out how to counter them. It's not perfect, but he wins more often than he loses and that's really all he can ask for.

Last night was a fight night. Abbacchio came out of the winner, even if his face is all beat to hell. Still, it was worth it for the prize money and he heads to his liquor store of choice, fiddling with his phone to get the bluetooth to connect as he walks.]

[Bruno Bucciarati is pretty sure this isn't the sort of life his father wanted for him. But, well, in most circumstances, this isn't exactly a life Bucciarati wanted for himself.

But, well, sometimes life turns out in such a way you end up in the mafia, especially when it means making sure the teenagers that have ended up in your care don't end up there themselves.

So it goes.

Things have gone surprisingly well today, aside from the people he had to deal with. Eesh. After that, he needs a drink or several, and... well, liquor store is the better choice at this point. For the most part, he doesn't exactly do bars if he can help it.

He's so caught up in his thoughts about what to do that night, that he almost doesn't notice he's bumped into someone right up until he actually does so. He immediately turns to apologize, but he stops short, the words dying in his throat, as he sees the man he bumped into.

Oh... Oh, he's handsome.]

[Abbacchio looks up when he's bumped into, certain it was his fault and muttering out a "scusi" before he gets a look at the guy.

Fuck. He's gorgeous. Abbacchio blinks before shaking himself and clearing his throat.]

Sorry. Wasn't paying attention.

[Bucciarati blinks, almost startled, when Abbacchio clears his throat, before doing the same and glancing away, an embarrassed flush on his cheeks.]

Ah... I wasn't either, it's fine.

[The cut on his cheek pulls funny and starts to bleed a little through the bandage.]

Was heading, 'scuse me, I need to find somewhere to clean that up.

... There's a drugstore nearby that won't mind if you use one of their restrooms. Want a little help?

[As he starts leading the way to the drugstore.

The person at the nearest register waves to Bucciarati when the two of them come in.]

[He follows, and never has Abbacchio wished he was smaller than when he's trying to fit in the restroom with Bucciarati, because it's one of those single occupancy ones and not one made for accessibility. He just sits on the toilet and digs out the travel first aid kit he keeps in his bag.]

[It's a little awkward, but it'll have to do. Bucciarati takes a few moments to wash his hands, before he murmurs a "thank you" to Abbacchio and gets started.

It doesn't take long, at least, and Bucciarati offers Abbacchio a small smile once he pulls back.]

Ah, well-- [Rattling off a type of wine.] ... Dealt with a lot of idiots at work today, you know?

Ah, hang on, there's something I want to grab from here before we leave.

[Abbacchio shrugs, leaning against the window by the door to wait for this guy who he feels oddly compelled to stick with for a bit.

(It's the fact that he is gay and this guy is gorgeous.)]

Once those are paid for, he makes his way over.]
