[Aventurine watches as the movers bring his new statue into his garden. He recently bought a new house with a garden and it seemed a shame to keep it empty like it was. He'll figure out if he wants a statue or not later, but this one was decently priced for the quality and he is never going to say no to art of a pretty man where he can see it.

As the statue is placed down, Aventurine notices an odd device stuck on the back.]

Take that off, what the hell.

[Aventurine laughs but heads to the kitchen.]

Yes, doctor~

[If this was anyone but Veritas, there would almost certainly be pouting.

Since it is Veritas, however, it doesn't show in his expression, but the pout is audible.]

I'm just worried about you...

[takesitall]

I know, I know. It's...sweet.

[And strange for him.]

[He gets out a few things to put a sandwich together for Aventurine.

Once that's done, he brings it over.]

[Oh. And here he was digging around for something. He will happily take the sandwich.]

Thanks, Veritas. So, tell me what colors you're thinking?

I found this really nice dark blue-violet for what would be my hair. Some different blues and gold for the "clothes". I chose a couple of possible colors for my eyes, but I wasn't able to ultimately decide which one I wanted.

I... thought I might leave that up to you.

[He nods, shifting so he can grab the bag with the colors he picked out for his eyes.]

[Aventurine looks through the bottles, eventually settling on two.]

I think we could do something with these two, yeah?

Those... yes, I like that idea. I'll leave what to do up to you. I trust you with it.

[takesitall]

I will do my best~ You're going to look amazing either way.

I'm excited.

[He puts most of the colors he picked out for his eyes away, leaving the two Aventurine picked. He pulls out a different paint.]

Here's the color I selected for my "hair".

Oooh. I love it. Like the nightsky?

[A nod!]

I selected it because it reminded me of all the stargazing we do.

I love it. You're going to be even more gorgeous with these colors, Veritas.

I certainly hope so...

[And soon enough, they're heading outside to paint Veritas. When they're done (and the paint has dried), Veritas looks down at himself, then looks up at Aventurine.]

... Well, how do I look?

[Aventurine can't help the small, pleased smile.]

Absolutely perfect. More perfect. We did good, Veritas.

I'll have to look in a mirror soon, then. I'm excited to properly see the results of our handiwork. And... I'm eager to see what you've done with my eyes.

[Aventurine smiles and digs out his phone. Once the photo is taken, he hands the phone to Veritas.

He did his best to make sure Veritas looked absolutely gorgeous.]

[If Veritas was capable of breathing, he'd be left breathless at the sight.]

[It's quiet, awed.]

I just brought it out. You've always been beautiful, Veritas.

[He hands back the phone.]
