A few months later, Vasha has his first week working for Samir at his salon. He's still gambling on the side, but...a stable job? That sounds impossible. He may be panicking.]

As Vasha exits the building, Veritas is waiting by his car, opening the door for Vasha.]

[A kiss and then he is sliding into the car with a sigh.]

Just...I've never had a job before. It wasn't something I thought I could have. It's a lot.

[Since he hasn't started the car yet, he simply reaches over and takes one of Vasha's hands, squeezing gently.]

I'm certain you'll get accustomed to it eventually. How do you like the job so far?

It's...weird, but I think I like it. I like people enough, when they're not trying to kill me.

I thought we could celebrate your first week on the job with dinner. Where would you like to go? [A beat.] And would you like to have it at my place?

Pizza, and yes. I just want something simple but tasty.

The drive to his place doesn't take long, and he'll let Vasha get situated before settling in next to him with his phone to order pizza.]

This is the place with the good pasta, right? And the dessert options?

[He'll just go ahead and hand his phone over.]
