[Ratio doesn't necessarily want to be here, at this IPC-sponsored masquerade ball. It could certainly be worse than most parties, he supposes, but he doesn't really want to be here all the same. He can't say he minds the mask too much, at least.

Perhaps him being a wallflower is to be expected, though.]

What is not expected, perhaps, is a stunning blonde walking in, decked out in a better dress than even Lady Jade's and a mask that is probably the most expensive thing in the room.]

[Ratio does briefly look up when said stunning blond walks in. He does note the blond, but doesn't think too much of them.

But it's not like Ratio blends into the crowd, even as he continues to be a wallflower.]

It's honestly a little hilarious how a dress, a mask, and a slightly cinched corset tricks so many of these idiots. Kakavasha wasn't even trying to trick people, he just felt like going in a dress tonight, and the number of "ma'ams" he's gotten is frankly absurd. He doesn't bother correcting them, he doesn't mind, Avgin doesn't have gendered terms like that so it's all the same to him, but he does start making his way towards the wallflower.

Eventually, he gets there.]

[A couple of guests, upon realizing where Kakavasha was going, did briefly try to dissuade him--a couple somewhat concerned about him potentially getting shot down by an uninterested, very gay doctor, more than just a couple wanting the mysterious, beautiful guest's attention for themselves.

Ratio, for his part, started paying a little more attention when he realized Kakavasha was coming in his direction.

... He was going to dismiss the stranger, but between the voice and the movements, perhaps he shouldn't assume.]

I am here out of obligation. While a masquerade is more tolerable than most, I do not care for parties.

[Kakavasha smiles, leaning in just a bit.]

Oooh, the Guild! Well, that's more of a reason than I have to be here. I simply won an invite.

I wasn't aware there were invitations to be won. Either way, you've certainly made quite the stir.

[He blinks, the use of "doctor" having briefly taken him off guard.]

The correct title even though I haven't introduced myself yet... A good guess. [He chuckles.] Doctor Veritas Ratio.

[He smiles.]

[Kakavasha is too obviously Avgin, and he doesn't want to risk it.]

[And it's strange to actually say that.]

[The two talk most of the evening, somehow able to have a lovely conversation without ever feeling bored. Eventually, though, Vasha offers a hand to Ratio.]

Come on, doctor, we should dance at least once~

I suppose it would be a shame to leave without a dance with you.

[He takes Vasha's hand with a smile.]

[Hopefully Vasha's not too fussed if Ratio picks a spot on the edge of the dance floor. Once he stops, he turns towards Vasha and pulls him closer.]

[He has no problems at all. He just smiles as he's pulled closer.]

He's not the most practiced dancer, but he's at least competent enough. It helps that he has a wonderful dance partner.]

[Kakavasha helps cover any of Ratio's slips as they fall in sync with each other.]
