[Aventurine used to be a favorite of the International Private Trade Company (IPC for short). He was young, clever, and very charming and therefore made them so much money in trade agreements.

So when he set fire to their head office and ran off with his sister and the rest of the thought lost Avgin armada, it was a little surprising. That's on them, though, as he never hid his hatred for some of the higher ups in the Company.

Now Kakavasha--or Captain Vasha--heads the Armada with it's flagship the Stoneheart, a notorious pirate who sails the seas and actively hunts the IPC ships. It's a dangerous life, but he loves it.]

Parisa, Vasha's sister. Dinner's nearly ready, if you're hungry?

[He'll just fuss with his hair a little on the way there, he's otherwise presentable enough.]

We're having it on deck tonight, since the weather's good. This way.

[Following along behind! At least the deck means easiest escape routes ever if they're needed.]

Tired, still, though I suspect it will be a while until I don't feel like that.

Would you mind letting me look you over after dinner? Just to make sure they didn't give you something to make you weaker.

I wouldn't mind, no. I'd appreciate that, actually.

Then when you're done, come see me in the infirmary if I'm not still at the table. Hopefully you don't mind Avgin medicine. I know it's...weird, to most others.

[Parisa leads Veritas to the deck where the tables are set up. There's a huge array of food and drinks of all sorts laid out, and the crew is all clearly enjoying it.

Vasha sits a bit away from the crew, watching with a small smile.]

[Veritas helps himself to some of the food, and after a few moments...

... goes to sit near Vasha.]

[Vasha smiles and makes a little more room at his table.]

Not feeling the crowd?

Not especially, no. I've... never been one for crowds, honestly.

And this one's wilder than most. I understand completely. Take a seat, it's quiet over here.

[He smiles a little and sits down.]

Of course. Now, what kinds of food do you like?

Perhaps unsurprisingly, I'm partial to fish. But I like things with strong flavors in general.

What about spices? We make a lot if spicy food here.

I quite enjoy spices, actually.

Spicy roasted fish? Or fried?

I'm used to roasted, but I wouldn't be opposed to trying fried.
