I missed you, too. [A quick kiss.] Sorry I was gone so long this time.

It's not your fault. I'm just...tired.

[Which is Kakavasha for "I had a depressive episode while you were gone and am still recovering". They happen, still.]

Ah. [Another kiss, this one a bit longer than the last.] Well, I do have a bit of good news. Unless an emergency comes up, the team and I are taking a break for a couple months.

Good. You can help me strongarm our smartest third into a vacation.

Gladly. It says a lot that I don't remember the last time he actually took one!

We really need to talk him into breaks more often.

I've been tempted to call his university and threaten them if they don't reduce his work hours, but it wouldn't work in the end. He'd just work overtime.

We really need to start pestering him about breaks more often. Maybe we should start coordinating ours to make it easier for both of us to strongarm him into it.

... I'm so glad to be back. I really missed you, Vasha.

After the break, I'll see if I can swing the next few jobs being closer to home. I am not traveling like that again for that long for a long while.

[He would steal another kiss, but they're home so that can wait. The sunglasses go on, Aventurine thanks Akira, and then he's waiting for Ciar to get out of the car so he can help with the luggage.]

Once they've gotten everything, Ciar is going to take a bit to change into more comfortable clothes before all but flopping onto the sofa. He'll just unpack tomorrow.]
