[He looks up at Veritas with a smile.]

[Veritas's expression softens immediately when Vasha smiles up at him and he nods, lifting their hands so he can press a kiss to Vasha's knuckles.]

[The world is just him and Veritas right now.]

[Samir and Nisha grin at each other before slipping out of the room to leave the two lovebirds alone.

Veritas barely notices, too busy pulling Vasha closer.]

We've only known each other a couple of weeks...I'm already dear?

[He leans up for a kiss.]

You are. I was... astonished how quickly you became important to me.

He intertwines their fingers, expression soft.

Nisha does briefly return to the room, setting a pair of cups of chai down for the two of them.]

[Vasha does not even notice, too lost in Veritas's everything.]

And people call you cold. Idiots.

Well, we already knew that.

[He chuckles, only pulling back to pick up the chai, handing one cup to Vasha first.]

[He takes it, smiling and taking a sip.]

[Veritas smiles and takes his own. After he takes a sip, he gently tugs Vasha towards the sofa.]

[And he goes, cuddling close.]

[As he wraps both arms around Vasha.

A few months later, Vasha has his first week working for Samir at his salon. He's still gambling on the side, but...a stable job? That sounds impossible. He may be panicking.]

[And at the end of that first week, Veritas shows up to pick Vasha up from work.

As Vasha exits the building, Veritas is waiting by his car, opening the door for Vasha.]

[A kiss and then he is sliding into the car with a sigh.]

[Veritas returns the kiss before getting in the car on the driver's side.]
