[This was supposed to be an easy con. Well, easy-ish.

Taking down the entire IPC is a bit of a far-off pipe dream for Wing and his team (he's still marveling that he's ended up with a team, some days), but particular nasty individuals within or working with them is fair game. Just, you know, make sure picking them off is few and far between.

This was supposed to be a relatively routine takedown of a shithead of a mark. But there's been a wrench thrown into the works--one that the mark refuses to refer to by a name, and it leaves Wing seeing red. A slave.

This fucker has a slave.

Wing maintains his perfectly polite facade, the one meant to lure the target in, so that Wing can lure him into acting against his own best interests, too blinded by what he has to offer. Wing's all smiles, but for anyone really paying attention, he's seething.

Once the mark has left the room--he'll be out for a while, if a couple of Wing's teammates have anything to say about it--Wing makes his way over to get a better look at that slave.]

[As long as Kakavasha got that much needed catharsis out of what happened, Wing is glad.

He smiles and shakes his head.]

Not at all. Did you have something in mind?

Wanna order pizza? It's quick and I'm craving it, I think.

Yeah, sounds good~

[As he moves over to the sofa and pulls up the site for the nearby pizza place on his laptop, motioning for Kakavasha to join him.]

[Oh, alright. He joins Wing, peering over at his laptop.]

What was the little round things on the pizza last time?

[Pepperoni, he means pepperoni.]

Those're called pepperoni.

[takesitall]

Can we get that again? And maybe something new.

[quicksilverwings]

Yeah, we can do that. We've got plenty of options for something new, too. Meat or veggies?

[takesitall]

...veggies.

[A lot of them are still new to Kakavasha, after all.]

But not mushrooms.

No mushrooms.

[He hums and reads off a few options from the list.]

Any of those sound good?

[takesitall]

Tomatoes and maybe those bell things.

[Bell peppers. He is hoping it's spicy.]

And whatever you want.

[He hums and adds those to the pizza.]

If you don't mind me adding a little more meat, I'll add sausage? Oh, right, how much sauce and cheese do you want on it? With those, we have the option for "regular," which we did last time, or we can have them go lighter or heavier on either or both.

...let's go lighter on the cheese. We're still trying to figure out if I'm allergic to dairy, remember?

[Lighter on the cheese, then!]

Do you want the same kind of crust as last time or do you want to try the thin crust this time?

[takesitall]

You pick. It's all still pretty new to me--oh, hi Ace-y.

[And all talk of dinner is sidelined as Kakavasha reaches down to pick up one of the cats that comes and goes out of the apartment.]

No Jack or Queenie?

[Thin crust it is, just so Kakavasha can try something new. He chuckles a little when Kakavasha picks up the cat.]

Last I saw Jack, he managed to find his way upstairs.

[takesitall]

I bet he was hiding from this little wildcard.

[All the affection for the cat. He even leans in to rub noses.]

Tiny terror.

[quicksilverwings]

Mm, probably.

[He watches Kakavasha for a while, a fond smile on his face. Absolutely adorable.

He turns back to his laptop to actually properly send the order in, before getting up to get a couple of the fancier sodas he keeps in the fridge for the both of them. He brings those back in, setting the bottles on the coffee table.]

[He just keeps petting and eventually moves on to playing with Ace, pulling out a bit of string from somewhere to distract the cat.]

Oh, is that the fancy ginger drink?

[quicksilverwings]

It is. I figured tonight called for something extra-special, seeing as you have something worth celebrating.

[takesitall]

Aw, you spoil me. Sooner or later I'm going to need to get a job to repay you~

[He jokes, but it's also not entirely a joke.]

And what if I like spoiling you, huh~?

[takesitall]

I'd have to ask why, when all I do is mooch off you and pet your cats.

[quicksilverwings]

You're fun to talk to and be around. And I like seeing you get to try new things. And it's just... nice to have you here. I guess I was lonelier on my own than I thought I was.

[takesitall]

[Just fun? Not useful or lucky?]
