[Ratio doesn't really ask what Aventurine gets up to when he's off doing whatever it is he does.

It's late right now, and Ratio's minding his own business, as he does. Probably not going to bed terribly soon anyway.

Of course. What would you like for breakfast?

...bacon? I'm craving it for some reason.

Bacon it is.

[He stands and stretches some more, before heading to the kitchen. Eventually, he comes back in with breakfast--plates with eggs, hashbrowns, and bacon, and each of their preferred drinks to accompany breakfast. He's also brought in a pair of TV trays, so they'll have places to set the dishes down.]

Oh, breakfast in bed? You're spoiling me, Doctor~

I'd say you've earned a bit of indulgence, all things considered.

[And... well, it's one more way he can show the extent of his affection.]

Spoiling me~ Taking such good care of me a few days ago and then yesterday and now this? What did I do to deserve it all, hm?

[Amused huff.] Of course I'm going to take care of you, dear gambler, it's not about deserving.

...dear?

[That's a first.]

[Ah... Well.]

Yes. Dear.

I'm...dear to you, Ratio?

You are. You're very dear to me, Aventurine.

...in that case, may I call you my dear doctor?

[He turns a bit pink and nods.]

You may.

My dear doctor~ You're cute when you blush.

[ignoranceisblight]

[Oh, that just makes him flush deeper.]

I'm not... accustomed to being called such things.

[takesitall]

Is that right? Should I call you that more often?

... I think I'd like if you did.

[takesitall]

My dearest doctor.

[Aventurine leans over and takes Ratio's hand.]

[He smiles, then entwines their fingers before squeezing gently.]

[Maybe the bite wasn't so bad.

Aventurine adjusts to being a werecat pretty easily, all things considered. It's a little annoying when he turns without warning, usually from exhaustion, but that only happens once in a while. It helps, being with Veritas properly. It's nice.

One day, some months after the bite, Aventurine tells Veritas he is going to (hypothetically) murder Sugalite.

He then turns into a cat and goes to Veritas's place to sleep on his pillows.]

[And Veritas... takes off a bit early that day. So it'll be a bit earlier than expected when the door opens.]

Kakavasha?

[takesitall]

[No response. He's asleep.]

[ignoranceisblight]

[And he'll go look for Kakavasha-- ah, on his pillows. He won't move to wake his boyfriend, but he'll go ahead and change out of his work clothes while he's in here.]

[takesitall]

[He wakes up after a bit anyway, the smell and sounds of his boyfriend enough to do it. He doesn't transform back, however, preferring to stay cat right now.

Veritas has likely learned by now that sometimes, he just needs to be a cat and not think.]

[Yeah, he kind of figured it'd be a cat evening after earlier. Once he's changed into something more comfortable, he goes over to scritch behind Kakavasha's ears.]
