[Ratio doesn't really ask what Aventurine gets up to when he's off doing whatever it is he does.

It's late right now, and Ratio's minding his own business, as he does. Probably not going to bed terribly soon anyway.

So, you know, perfect time for interruptions to his night.]

[He goes right up to Ratio and promptly scrambles up his arms to sit on his shoulder.]

[He laughs a little, reaching up to steady Aventurine and making sure he stays in place as Ratio stands.]

Careful now.

[... And okay, he can't resist the urge to give Aventurine a few neck scritches.]

[He purrs, eyes closed in a happy kitty face. This is heaven.]

[Adorable.

Ratio will go about his business around the house for a while, in that case, with Aventurine still on his shoulder, but afterward, he takes a seat on the sofa.]

[He stays up there the entire time. The second Ratio sits down, though, he is in the doctor's lap.]

[Which means it's absolutely time for Ratio to spoil him with scritches, in that case.]

[ALL THE SCRITCHES he will roll over for belly rubs.]

[Careful belly rubs, then--]

[A playful grab but no claws or teeth! Just play!

He is clearly enjoying this.]

[He is especially grateful for no teeth, but he will happily play along here.

Absolutely adorable. And... honestly, it's nice to see Aventurine having fun like this.]

[He keeps playing for a little bit, but then he yawns. The transformation's tired him out and now he just wants a nap.

Here. In Ratio's lap.]

[He chuckles a little, scritching under Aventurine's chin a little.]

Go ahead and sleep if you're tired, Aventurine.

[It'll just be illegal to move for a bit.

... He may need to brace himself for ending up with a lap full of a considerably more human-shaped gambler but he'll cross that bridge when he gets to it.]

[Another yawn, and off Aventurine drifts. He really needs the nap.

He does not transform during his nap, at least, only waking up when he starts to get hungry. But how to tell Ratio he's hungry...]

[Ratio at the moment happens to be on his phone, though he smiles when he happens to look down and sees Aventurine's awake.]

[Hm...ah!

He scrambles up, paws on Ratio's cheek. He'd put them on his mouth but he doesn't want to be a problem. Yet.]

[Yet.

He lets out a surprised noise, but laughs a little, putting down his phone.]

... Ah, right, you haven't eaten yet today, have you?

[takesitall]

[A pointed meow.

He has not and he is hungry.]

Alright, let's get you something to eat.

[Off to the kitchen! Where Ratio swiftly realizes the precooked chicken in his fridge is not suitable for cats, so he'll have to cook some himself.

At least it doesn't take too long, and before they know it, Ratio is sitting on the floor with a small plate of plain, cooked meat that he's cut into bite-sized pieces.]

[Note to self: figure out what's safe for cats to eat because plain is boring.

But the chicken is so good, Aventurine can't help but eat fast and maybe gorge a little.]

Careful, Aventurine. Try not to eat too quickly.

[But he's chuckling a little. This is cute.]

[A muffled mew, but he does try to slow down. He's just hungry, okay?

He finishes soon enough and then jumps up on the counter and then into the sink. Thirsty!]

[He laughs and stands up, filling a small bowl with water and setting it on the counter.]

[Yay! He is a happy kitty.

Once he's drank his fill, he scrambles back up Ratio's arm to sit on his shoulder. He's good now.]

[And Ratio reaches up to give him a few pets.

He goes back to the living room and sits down again, expecting a bit to play again once he does ]

[He does want to play, chasing string and laser pointers until he just sort of conks out for the rest of the day. He'll turn back to human at some point during the night.]
